California's Fair Chance Act (AB1008), effective January 1, 2018 prohibits employers from asking job seekers anything about their conviction history prior to providing a conditional offer. Given that this bill impacts 8 million Californians, it is crucial for job seekers to know their rights and employers to know their obligations.
